I welcomed a garden gnome to my back yard this year and he's going a great job, sitting there with his pipe.

Question:What is the protocol for winter? Would he prefer that I just leave him in the snow-covered garden? Would he like to spend the winter in the house? Surely he wouldn't enjoy being in the shed all winter?
Please help, I want to treat him fairly.

Answers:
Winter can be a cold and lonely time in the garden and a shed would be so dreary. He'd probably appreciate a nice sunny window in the house where he can look out on his summer stomping grounds.

You could always ask him in for a cup of tea if it gets cold,or maybe knit him an extra sweater, but they are mainly an outdoor race.
give him a bowl of weed and a fifth of crown.
He might like an outing so why not take him to the local zoo or amusement park. Also on Halloween he might get a thrill going trick or treating;.
iam gnomeless myself, however if it were me i would retire the old fella to a nice warm winter habitat. i have included a couple of links i have had in my favorites for a while, enjoy.

You're funny. I know what you mean. My knomes live in the garden all spring and summer, but in fall they migrate to the back deck where they have a luau and a garden party and chill out until spring. They are so cute with their leis and a perfect decoration for when we barbeque!
