How do I strike rose cuttings?

Question:I have some beautiful roses but flowers are finished I would like to strike these roses. Can I strike cuttings after flowers are finished and how?

Answers:
Take 9" cuttings, about a pencil size thickness. Remove the leaves from the bottom 3" of the cuttings. Dip the bottoms in a rooting hormone powder and then plant them in a shady area. Cover them with a glass jar, to keep the humidity high and within a few weeks, they should have roots.
