How do u kill roots of a sycamore tree?

Question:

Answers:
You have to chop them but their going to grow back so either poison it or just remove the whole tree. If you want to remove it completly the easy way salt the area around the tree but then you wont be able to grow anything in that spot for a long period of time.

shoot it with a silver bullet
Buy some root killer from the DIY or garden centre and tip the whole bottle on the roots.
I cut mine right downm then drilled several holes into the stump and filled with Turpentine, it did work, but best if you can use a digger to get it out
I would suggest you pour lots of weedkiller or salt water onto them, but not if you want things to grow there afterwards, in which case you would be better digging them up if you can.
had same problems hammer copper nails all round bottom of tree as close to ground as possible works a treat
Once the tree has been cut down paint the treet trunk with creosote. Kills roots of any trees. Have done this and it does work.
