How often should I change pots for my plants?

Question:Any suggestions on how I re-pot and also find the size of the new pot? Thanks!

Answers:
Change potting soil as a rule of thumb in the spring. They will need all the nurishment of the new soil to bloom and grow. If you want your plants to grow bigger go up one size on pot. If you can't deal with a bigger pot, when repotting, I take and pull or cut off loose roots. Plant will go back in same size pot. You need to change potting soil, not the pots.

When you see roots coming out of the bottom of the pot, it's time for a new one. Usually choose a pot almost twice the size of the old one.
