I,m looking for a certain flower and cant find where to buy one?
Question:it is about 4 or 5 feet tall and is dark purple and almost black.it is a very unusual flower that unfortunately smells like rotting garbage..I know it sounds weird,but it is very cool looking..what is it ?where do I buy the plant or bulb?

I'm afraid I don't know where you can buy it, but the flower is called by several names:
Voodoo lilly or the dracunculuc vulgaris (dragon lilly)
I'm not sure what it is, but most plants that have that sort of smell are carnivorous plants, and use the smell to attract insects. You might try looking up a site for exotic/carnivorous plants, and see if you can identify it and find a dealer.
Edit - ok, I saw the answer above, and realized what you were talking about. Plant Delights (below) has all kinds of plants from the amorphophallus genus :-) The second link is a shot of the plant. The price is pretty steep - about $50 for a single SEED - which is about the size of a golf ball!
I do know where to buy them they are very expensive.
