Where can I get free pine trees?

Question:I want to plant pine trees in my back yard along my property line. I need little baby ones so I can watch them grow over the years. Someone told me a long time ago, you can get free ones somewhere, but I don't remember where.

Answers:
Lots of time the state forestry department gives away seedlings, just give them a call.

Depends on where you live. Check with Forest Service or your state forestry division. Also, consider finding someone with land with pine trees and ask them if you can go in and remove some saplings. Shouldn't be a problem for most landowners.
Good luck
You can get ten free trees when you join the Arbor Day Foundation. Not exactly free, but you are supporting a great organization. You may also be able to get some from your state department of natural resources.

we have lots of little pine trees coming out everywhere, but i wish i could give them to you. if you have any nearby pine trees, you could take their pinecones( in the fall) and grow from seed, or usually there are little ones coming up around them that seeded themselfs, you could dig them up and replant them where you want them to be.
