Does anyone know where I could find a decent sized sunflower field near Dayton, Ohio 45424?

Question:I am looking for a place to propose and I would love to find a beautiful sunflower field for my girlfriend. It would be nice if it were close but I don't want it to be too close to where we live. I also don't even know if they are blooming anywhere around here. Thanks for reading.

Answers:
Sunflowers won't be in full bloom until early August and here is a farm on Yellow Springs Fairfield Rd about 2 miles west of YS that usually grows a huge field of sunflowers

There is also a big field in Preble county at Rt 725 and Rt 732 that is often in sunflowers

WONDERFUL idea, but it's a little early for full grown plants. Use the phone book and start calling farm supply stores. I mean the Agway type. You will, eventually, get someone who either sold the seeds, or knows where they are sold. Then just ask where the fields are. One caution, PLEASE make sure you ask permission. This is someones livelihood, and should be respected.
omg... that is the most romantic thing ever!
I'm not sure if it's still there but there was one in SE Darke county. Traveling north on 571 about 3-5 miles north of Laura, turn off toward the left onto the country roads. I bought sunflower seeds from them once.but that was several years back.
