How can I get rid of spiders? I can't go on my deck because of them and they are in my house.?
Question:Pests company put down powder, but my dog gets into it.

I was told by pest control that the reason it's hard to get rid of spiders is that they don't clean their legs after walking through chemicals like most bugs do. If you have trees and bushes around your deck, they could be coming from them. Some trees attract grandaddy long legs. I have a phobia about spiders also, so know you plight. Try using sprays, non-toxic to animals, around deck. It won't get rid of them but maybe it will help deter them from using your deck. Good Luck and remember a Good Spider is A Dead Spider!
Spiders are good, they eat bugs. Don't be so afraid of them. You can vacuum them up if you don't like them so much. Try it.
Try to make your deck and your house deprived of spider food (i.e. insects). Also, regularly destroy spider webs so that get discouraged from making home at your place.
For instant killing, you can use this electric zapper designed to kill insects and spiders. This thing is sold in US and Asian countries, but usually gets detained by customs if you try to import. See if you can get one of those.
The answerer above is right too about using the vacuum cleaner. Use a long extension and you should have no problems.
Well if you get rid of those spiders you will most like be invaded with other types of bugs..keep the spiders..But if you really must get rid of the them i have no clue other than getting bigger spiders to eat them.But last month i was cleaning my ears and there was a dead spider in my ear...Must have crawled in while i was asleep and died in my wax..So those stories of people eating spiders in there sleep must be true.So can you just imagine how many you have eatin in your sleep with you having lots of spiders in your house.Oh do u live inan apartment or house?If a house get rid of your plants and bushes near your house.But that was just an idea.
i would agree you should let the spiders be.. they are keeping pesky bugs away..

For the inside of your home, there are bug bombs you can use especially for spiders. You have to leave the house for a while and wash your bedding, but well worth it I think. I hate spiders. Ick. As for outside... if your dog gets into the powder, you might try and search for an organic pesticide that won't hurt your dog if he eats it.
