Can palm trees grow in bad weather conditions?

Question:i live in the northwest, rain and bad weather constantly, but i absolutly love palm trees. I want to plant one in my front yard, but would it live?

Answers:
Im sorry to say but that will not work. Not even because of rain and win but climate. Palm trees have to be in tropical weather. You can always consider a fake plam tree though. Here are some look-alike palm trees that grow in colder climates. http://www.sunpalmtrees.com/cold-hardy-p... I hope that helps.

no not at all
I don't think it stays warm enough year round for an outdoor palm. However, there are several that make good houseplants.

no sorry, they like warmer climates. The only way you could even enjoy one outdoors would be for the summer and then lift it and bring it in in the fall. Make sure you use some type of deterrent for the bugs you may be bringing in the house at the same time though.
