You are going to be hard pressed to grow grass from seed this time of year in the south. If you do plant grass it requires a lot of water. Best bet this time of year is use sod. If you want to plant grass, wait till the fall. Got to love the heat here in the Carolinas


go to your local landscappers supply, and purchase sod, lay it down, water, bang , nice lawn
grass seeds mix em with clover and lots of water
why should the south be any different an any other part of the country cut the grass long put down about a half inch of a good compose at least twice a year let your grass clippings stay in the grass when you water, water longer and less frequently
