Answers:
That's normal. Just burning off a little oil you probably spilled.

swoosh a blanket over it, back and forth and signal for the repairman.. :-))
just let it run... happened to me, just let it run, your neighbors will laugh at you, but itll clear up
If it is a 2 cycle mower than it is normal. if it is a normal add gas and go mower, you need oil.

did you run over the smoke bush by accident. (cotinus)
shame..lovely bush as well..
Blue and white smoke are usually a sign of oil burning. Black smoke means your burning to much fuel, or not getting enough air. One possibility I haven't read yet that is fairly common in lawn mower white smoke is that the choke isn't shutting off. Also if you've run over anything.. little bit high stump, pipe, or rocks it can bend the shaft that your blade is attached to. The shaft goes into the engine and cause a leak. This is usually accompanied by sever vibration. Piston rings going bad is another possibility. Depending on how ridiculous the amount of smoke is, I would keep running it just making sure you check the oil level every time until you are sure how much you are burning.
