My potted dwarf magnolia (2m tall) fell and broke its pot (1m tall), can I trim the roots halfway to replant?

Question:I am considering replanting it into a garden bed.

Answers:
I think I would just plant it as it is.Then instead of soil use a potting soil mix around the roots to encourage easy growth.Be careful .I never knew they made dwarf magnolias.I thank you for the info.

If you are considering putting it in your garden why trim the roots. I would only trim the roots if they are damaged.
