What can I do to stop chipmunks/squirrels from eating my sunflowers??

Question:I am thinking of putting a netting around the whole body of the sunflower. What other things can I do?

Answers:
Hi Kati, try sprinkling ground red pepper or cayenne powder on the ground, it doesn't hurt the squirrels or the sunflowers!!

Buy a little fence to put around with a top on it. We recently bought a squirrel feeder and put it on the fence so they eat from there. If they bother you more just move the sunflowers or but a gazebo or something over it!
Let them eat it, it is however sunflower SEEDS.
You can put up a little fence. Or you can by a bird feeder ans they would go to that
hey,try this, sprinkle a little cheyenne pepper powder on the ground right at the bottom of them,it works, they're always sniffing around and it won't cause them any permanent harm
