Why are hoses always green?
Question:i would understand if they were to blend in with the grass but they are bright like turquiose green
Answers:
so you can run over them with the lawn mower and then you have to buy a new one...
wat do u mean their always either black or brown! unless ur talking about cartoons and sh1t
I have a yellow one and a blue one.
I would guess so that they blend in with the grass. However, i have green, yellow, black and grey hoses at my home. So, no not all hoses are green.
they arent always green
@ Lowes- I recently saw red, blue, and black/gold ones
Its just tradition. If they had different colors they would sell more.
I don't know. Mine is gray with a green stripe on it, but I know what you mean. Most of them that I've seen are green, too. I've also seen a blue one. I don't know. You should try to contact one of the brand names for hoses and ask them. That's a really good question. I'm kinda curious. If you figure that out, can you post it on here?? Good luck!
not really. the hoses i have are black and ive seen grey ones
They are not, the hose I have in my yard.. is a faded red. Its a contractor hose. I would hazard a guess that most of them are green so they do not attract so much attention when they are in your yard. (they match the grass!)
I think it is just to blend in with the colors of the landscaping, however they are now starting to come out with other colors.
they're not always green i have a black one on the front spigot, and a yellow in back,i have also seen blue and different shades of green
An excellent question... They're not ALL green, just most of them are; mine is white with blue stripes! But at my previous home it was dark green.
Now you've gone and made me curious... As previously suggested, maybe you should contact some officials in the hose area, like the brand name people. Maybe they'll be able to tell you.
Traditional green hoses blend in with the landscape. Yellow, red and other colours will stand out.
A bit of trivia for you! The first one was invented around 400BC, they were made from ox gut.
I now have a tan colored garden hose, prior to that I had a dark hunter green hose, so the bright turquiose is NOT the only color available.
My hose is black
most hose's are green ...i guess they are green so they will match the grass
I have a black hose with yellow lines through it
