Mushrooms?

Question:I have been growing from seed, in a pot, taragon plants. They are doing well. I went to pick some for my dinner and there is mushrooms growing in the pot. Why is that? Are my taragons still safe enough to eat?

Answers:
Yes, your tarragon is safe. Even if the mushrooms are poisonous they don't put out cosmic poison rays that change the nature of the plants near them.

As for why the mushrooms are there, my guess is you keep the plants well watered and they found themselves a nice home.

Your tarragon are fine. Consider the mushroom a 2nd plant. Spores blew through the air and happened to land in your pot. Not a big deal.
Cut the mushroom in half and rub it on your forearm. If no rash is present, tap it a little on your lips and tip of your tongue. If nothing happens then, then it might just be safe to eat!
Beautiful Pic by the way!
it just probably means the soil is TOO WET they should be gine just remove it (mushrooms) asap
Yes, I get fungi all over my garden and recent warmer weather, perhaps from global warming, has meant that the 'fruiting' is more frequent during the year, and not just in fall, as it used to be.

Don't consume fungus that you're not certain about, it could be poisonous!

Tarragon is one of my favorite herbs, and makes a delicious sauce - I'm jealous.
they should be perfectally fine
no because the mushrooms can be poisonous
