They're Everywhere!?!?
Question:MY neighbor has close to 20 dogs, so of course, there are flies everywhere! How can I get rid of them in my backyard? I want to be able to sit in my yard without being annoyed by them!!
Answers:
Depending on how you feel about chemical sprays or not... but you could go the any farm store and buy the fly spray they use in barns for cows and horses, and spray it on the ground around your patio / outdoor area and it will help. Of course, you would not want to spray it on any food surfaces or around food itself, but around the table, chairs, etc. will help quite a bit with the flies. Good Luck!!
buy one of them lights that attract the flies it work, i have one in my back yard and the flies don't bother me.
Call the local humane society. It is against the law to have that many dogs in the house...that will take care of the problem...
Ask your neighbor to clean up the dog poo, if that doesn't get any results call your local health dept and file a complaint.
There is nothing you can do to keep them out of your yard, the solution is removing the doggie doo that attracts them to his yard.
Check with your local bylaw officer. Often there is a legal limit to how many dogs someone can have; with 20 they may need a kennel license and inspections to make sure the doggie do and flies are controlled and not interfering with neighbours.
Isn't he violating the city codes? Report him.
Definantly call your community town hall. There are possibly some code violations with that many animals. I believe a permit is needed with that volume.
Either way, the flies are there because of him and his dogs so it is his responsibility to remove them.
Call in a complaint (and you can do this anonymously) about the flies. They will respond quickly.
Make a Complaint and give it to the Local Human Health Dept
