What is the best and most effective fertilizer for a gardenia house plant (tree)?

Question:

Answers:
Sprinkle used coffee or tea grounds over the dirt, and water as usual. The water will leach the acid from the grounds into the soil and feed the plant.

Gardenias need a special acid fertilizer, if I remember correctly. Look for it at Walmart. There is one specially for Azaleas and acid loving plants.
