How to keep chipmunks and squirrels out of flower gardens?

Question:I just put down some mulch and they keep digging it up. My husband used to use the good old 22 but I can't stand to shoot them. Thanks for the help.

put up a corn cobb feeder on the other side of the yard away from where u want them to be? hope that works
