I have a concrete patio 8'x8'. There are gaps between the slabs. How do I close the gaps?

I've seen concrete laid with gaps to compensate for expansion in really hot weather. I've also seen highways buckle where 2 slabs meet because they couldn't expand. Try putting sand in between, tamp it down hard, maybe even get it moist to really compact it, then keep on till its even with the slabs. remember, heat expands things, cold contracts.
buy more cement at the store mix with water pour in gaps swipe with broom could just add dirt or sand
Those gaps are called Expantion joints if you fill them your concrete will crack ..there's a reason those gaps are there..don't fill them up..
Expandable polyurethane.
You can find it at most hardware stores.
It looks good if applied good but you can always sand away the inperfections.
Fill in with sand
How big are the gaps? If they are less than 1/4 inch they are joints that were made to give the concrete a place to crack when it was curing. You can get a caulk that is roughly the color of concrete and fill them in. On a patio of this size they are not expansion joints.
Hi!
The gaps between the slabs are probably there because concrete expands and contracts with the weather. If the gaps weren't there, you'd probably have cracks and other things. You could fill the gaps with low-growing plants. I like Roman chamomile. You can mow it, walk on it, etc. When you walk on it, it smells good. There are several plants like this that work well, some even have scents that help repel insects. You could also put sand in between the blocks. I doubt you would be happy filling in with more cement, or something solid, though.
Good luck.
