My aunt runs a pot-bellied pig farm in Pennsylvania and she's one of the most popular facilities. As of the size, you shouldn't have one in an apartment building because they need exercises and certain places to graze. Also zoning might be a problem, so you should check into that. Adoption fees differ according to age and pedigree. Also a pig could be up to120 at a healthy weight, but if you don't have enough space for it, it could weigh more and get so overweight that it needs surgery to see and could develop arthritis. My aunt's website is rossmillfarm.com and could be really helpful
I've never actually priced a pot belly pig, so I can't help you there.
But I know of people who keep a pot belly pig as a pet in their apartment in the city, so the answer for land is: however much you happen to have.
I had a pot belly and enjoyed it. They eat so you need an area for relief. The price has gone down on them since the supply overdid the demand. I bought a white one for $175. They don't require a lot of room but need shelter from the weather. White ones will sunburn. Make sure you are dealing with a reputable person when buying. Some people are cross-breeding with full sized pigs and they get huge.
