You can buy a chemical that will kill everything among iceplant, and not harm the iceplant. Also you can get a pre-emergent chemical to keep any seeds from sprouting. This has to be renewed occasionally. Read the labels.

Yep, go to home depot and get a extra set of hands.
Pull the weeds or go to lowes or homedepot there is an organic weed killer for flower beds.

Or go all the way organic and place 3-4 layers of newspaper under your mulch or rock and that will prevent weeds from growing up to 5 years. It will become compost for your dirt and soil being it is made out of soy. And the water and fertlizer can still get through.
