I am going to attempt to install an irrigation system at my house. how many HP do i need in my well pump ?
Question:
Answers:
To chose the pump is the last stage on the irrigation network design.
First you must determine the number of sprinklers /emitters and their locations. Group them by circuits, connect them, calculate the pressure loses & pipe diameters.
When you know that, you'll know what pressure is required and what discharge in the network. After checking the depth of your well, you'll be able to know the specifiactions of the required pump.
To help you with all this calculations you can go to: http://www.rainbird.com/diy/guidedtour.h... others (Toro, Hunter, Weathermatic...) have similar infos.
Good luck with your project.
