Peach Leaf Curl. Anyone know of of a kinder to the enviroment/organic/non toxic way to treat it?
Question:All my surrounding plants and trees are curling too now and I did treat them with a nasty chemical at leaf fall last year and bud burst this, any suggestions?

The fungal spores are carried in rain droplets from one area to the next. I avoid peach leaf curl by keeping my peach tree in a large pot. It stays in the greenhouse until I have harvested all the fruit. Then outside for the summer. It goes back inside mid November. Since it is in the greenhouse no rain splash therefore no leaf curl. If your plant is planted in the soil you could cover it with a polythene sheet but it looks ugly.
sadly i cannot think of non toxic way to control peach leaf curl but there is a chemial sold in the garden centres called dithane. it is a good control for peach leaf curl and is also the control for potato blight.it is used by farmers and is still available for amateur gardeners.
Yes treat in the fall when 90% of the leaves have fallen. Pick up all the leaves and don't compost them.
The most effective fungicides are chlorothalonil (Bravo) or copper compounds (Kocide, COCS, etc.). Ziram, lime sulfur or Bordeaux are useful but somewhat less effective. Check the label for rates and other use recommendations.
But the problelm must be addressed.
