I have an October Glory Maple Tree that is not doing well, can you help?

Question:I planted two OG Maples in my backyard last fall. One is doing great; has new growth and is very bushy. The other started off strong but has not had any new growth and the leaves appear to burning up. Thay are about 40ft apart in the middle of my backyard, get the same sun and water. The one struggling did have an ant nest under it a month ago. I took care of the ants and it started to do better but has since struggled again. Please help if you can.

Answers:
The best advice I have is to cut off a sample & take it to a local garden center.
Not a big box store's garden dept.
Chances are you'll find someone that really knows gardening & can tell you if it's a bug, disease or lack of nutrients, 40 feet could mean a big difference in the soil.
