Per square yard? where do you live Manhattan?? I cut my neighbors yard for him while he is in Florida. He is a "snowbird" Florida in winters West Virginia in summers. His lot is roughly 50 x 200feet, which is 10,000 sq ft or 1111.11 sq yards. I do this for $25 per mowing. The other answerer that said 10 $/hr probably hasn't considered the fuel cost of a gas powered mower at $3.25 / gallon.
I have a 5600 sq ft yard and I pay $25.00, it depends on where you live, there are tons of lawn care people where I live so competition is high here
