What should I do about my backyard?
Question:I have 3 big dogs in my backyard. When we first bought the house, the backyard was nice and green. Now my backyard is nothing but dirt. I have "tracks" around my trees from them chasing each other around them. What is my best course of action?

Do you take your dogs for walks? if you don't give the dogs their minimum requirements and take them for 2 walks per day ( morning and around 6 -7 pm) then they will find ways of exploring new areas and using up their energy by digging up the garden, where they are keeped most of the time. If they bark heaps at people that pass by or at other dogs around that's another sign that you don't take them for regular walks because if dogs bark that means their scared so their initial reaction is to bark so they scare whoever it is off. Taking them for walks will change the garden problem and the barking that i am sure your experiencing because they will use up that extra energy while getting to know the world around them that they will realize isn't that scary after all.
a dog run and repair your yard.
Move the dogs to a part where you don't care about the grass and replant.
install a swimming pool in your backyard and make most of it concrete, and add rocks around the non concrete area, or just make the dirt look pretty somehow...add colored sand, dirt...call a beautician to come to your backyard, analyze it, and make suggestions
If your yard is big enough, you should have a separate area for the dogs to play. You said you have three big dogs, the dog run needs to be big enough for all of them to play and have enough room for them to lay down and rest. You need a good fence and gate, plenty of shade for the dogs and gravel. When the dogs "do their busines", gravel is the easiest to clean. Just use a pooper-scooper and hose to keep it clean. You can then re-seed or use sod for the rest of the yard.
