Importing live plants is a regulated activity and requires phyto-sanitary certificates and other documentation.
Most of the tropical plants are available in the US itself. Try tee National Arboratum, Wash. DC for info.

I saw Indian plants in the walmart nursery at LA.
In India Bangalore is called the Garden City. Ofcourse lovely varieties of flowers are there in the Lalbagh Garden.
