Pests eating leaves of flowers?

Answers:
I'm a big fan of 10% Sevin pesticide dust. I apply it with a Dustin-Mizer, which is a hand held, hand cranked tool used to evenly "blow" dust based products onto, over or under your plants. Another brand name applicator is "Powder Mill" and it works exactly the same way. A light coat of Sevin or your choice of dust once in a while controls most pests. It would be best if you could figure out what pests you have before you buy anything and then make sure your selection is labeled for your pest. As always, use extreme caution with pesticides near lakes, ponds, creeks, bird baths, pets, etc... and keep in mind that bees, lady bugs and other beneficials will be killed too, so apply when bees aren't present; bees are usually present in the mornings and early evenings.

PS... sometimes commercial mulch is contaminated when you buy it and has bugs or larvae in it, which sets you up for instant problems. (The free stuff is almost always full of bugs, ants, etc!) You might want to spread the mulch out and treat it prior to adding in to your beds.

Happy planting!

go to your garden store make sure its a decent size one and look for something to put on your plants that will drive pests away. but make sure u get something that wont hurt the plants. good luck
it could be a lot of things - right now the Japanese beetles are horrible. You can buy some "beetle bags" that help with them
