My pool water has turned brownish/rusty colored. What should I do to clear this up?

Question:I have chlorine, Ph plus, Ph minus, some sort of metal out, clarifier, new filters & more. Have followed the instructions given by the local pool store clerk. Have waited four days and no change. Should I empty it and start filling it all over again. (this is well water) or have water delivered for $180?

Answers:
Yes, refill.

Have sample analyzed.
leaves and wood can turn water rusty.
However hat depends on the source of the brown rust.
Wait longer, make sure filter is doing its job.
One way or another you'll get what you want.

Then enjoy that pool.

Have a pleasant day.

Do you have test strips that you can use to test the chemical balance in your pool? If you do, that will tell you what you need to add to your water to make it clear up. If you don't have any, they're not expensive to buy. Just go to your nearest Menard's or wherever they sell pools. Ü
