How can I kill a tree?

Question:I have a pomegranate and olive tree in my backyard that I've been wanting to get rid of. I know I could cut them down but my dad doesn't want them gone. So I decided to make it look like they died so then he would have no choice but to cut them down. How can I deteriorate trees?

Answers:
Who's property is it? If it is your dad's, I guess you have no consciences. I would never destroy someone else's property, especially my parents.
But, seeing how you apparently have no morals, check with landscaping companies to find out something safe. If you are not careful, you can kill the grass around the tree as well as the tree. You could even damage the entire area above the ground around the tree roots. I had to call someone to come to remove the pompus grass in my yard, and I got this info from them.
Good luck and I hope you sleep well after you kill your dad's trees.
If this is your property, you can do what ever you like.

There are tree poisons, you would have to go to a nursery to get it.
I would suggest you move into your own place so you will be able to shape it the way you want it. It sounds like your Dad like HIS trees.
I think olive and pomegranate trees are beautiful things and it's sad you want to kill them. Your dad will be very sad and will try and save them. Won't this make you feel terribly guilty? Why would you want to get rid of something so wonderful?
Use 8 ounces full strength Round-Up.
try hammering a copper nail into it. that will kill in time.
Try the forums at: http://www.bonsaisite.com/

Post pictures of your trees and ask for advice. There are hodes of expert here, who will give of their time unstintingly.

If the trees are not too big, you can try converting them into bonsai, which may even appeal more to dad.

Warning: YOU may get hooked to bonsai.
you could always chop it down and then on a really windy day say it blew down. and if he finds out that you did it, wat's he gonna do about it anyways?
hey frn.
i had a similar situation once
make a shallow drain round the tree
pour in some huge quantity of urea and common salt
cover the drain wid soil
water hard immediately
the tree should die within a month of imbalance of water
e.g. if the tree trunk is 1 foot in dia,
4-6 pounds of urea should do.
good luck
and plz rate me best answer!!
Leave the trees alone. They aren't yours. You could start a family problem that would end horribly. Think about it. What would you do if your dad tried to destroy something of yours?
