How can I rid my gardens of Japanese beetles while not poisoning my two young children?

Question:

Answers:
Japanese beetle trap. I've used ones that you fill with water, they fly into it and drown. Then when the bag is full, you empty it and fill another bag attach it and the cycle continues. No poision, no real mess but you do have to empty the bag.

use the traps mentioned above or even milk jugs filled 1/2 full w/water
Get a couple of those Jap beetle traps. They're non-poisonous and safe for everything(except the beetles). ;-)=
Milky spores.

this is a harmless bacteria to humans, but deadly to jap beetles
but it only kills them as grubs in the ground. it will stop them next year.
safe, very safe.
