Avacado tree?

Question:I have this avacado tree for almost 3 years now. And the leaves and the lower branches have been turning brown. help! who should i call to help? would a regular gardener able to help? or is there anything i can do for myself? someone told me maybe the soil has fungi, is that true?

Answers:
There are many possible causes. It has to be seen, and maybe tested by a lab. Ask for a masters student in horticulture at a local university, and see if they can help you.

We're lucky here. We have a couple of nurseries that are extremely helpful. I assume you started this yourself, otherwise I would take it back where I bought it and ask them (unless they are idiots). Most places want your plants to florish so you will continue to buy from them. Call around and see if you can find a nursery that sells avocado trees and see if they will be helpful. Most peoplel are helpful if you're on your best manners when you call. Try googling and reading and see if you can find something on diseases for avocado trees. There are fungicide treatments IF that's what's wrong.
Hope this helps.
