Will green tinted water make my houseplants greener?

Question:I have a Lavendar plant in a window and the leaves have faded considerably from the sun. Will adding green food coloring to the watering can deepen the leaf color?

Answers:
I believe it will actually tint the color or your flowers green. I know if you place cut flowers in a vase of colored water they can absorb the colors in the petals, but I don't believe it will alter your plants leaves.

No. Most lavender plants have a rather soft, silvery sheen anyway, not bright green.
No, not on leaves that are sun-burnt. I painted mine green until new leaves grew.(how embarrassing) Bye
No. Photosynthesis makes plants green, not colorants. plants need nutrients and sunlight to be green.
