Why does my honeysuckle have mildew, which makes the leaves turn brown and fall off. What can i do about it??

Hi! Mildew is actually caused by a fungi. It grows on plants when there is high humidity - so the weather we are having at the moment - lots of rain followed by sunshine/warmth - causes lots of humidity. It can also be made worse if the plants are in the shade, or cramped in with other plants.
There are not many chemical solutions for mildew and it doesn't cause too much damage to the plant. The best thing you can do is to prune out the affected leaves etc, and try and get good air circulation around the plant. To do this you may have to do some more pruning to the plant itself, or the plants surrounding it. Hope this will help you.

Use a fungicide in Feb/Mar keep the emerging foliage aired and water the base. Fungi like damp air.
