Can you lay decorative gravel (mulch) on a slope?

Question:I have created a slope in one corner of my garden and I have planted flowers on it. However, I would like to cover the area with golden gravel.is this possible?

Answers:
Depending on the slope angle it might be pssible. When putting gravel down make sure you tamp it down properly. small angle of slope5 to 15 degrees will be no problem but greater angle such as 30 to 45 degree angle will be a problem in keeping the gravel from running down the slope.

I would say that it is very possible, If you would not have a weed problem I would say just pour the gravel on the dirt and sorta press it down so it would stay put. You could always place some loose over it if it looked to packed down. If there are weeds then place down a weed barrier and just pour the gravel on to it and press down also. I think it would be harder to keep them in place with a barrier down, possible slide alot more. Good Luck!
