What can I use to kiil weeds and grass that grow along the edges of my sidewalk and garden borders?

Question:My borders along the garden are actually big stones, and the grass grows up quickly between these rocks. The weedeater cannot get all of the trimming needed. Thanks

Answers:
I would torch them, earth friendly.

i use a store bought weed killer. i get a big jug of it and it comes with a noozle that i just aim and squirt..lots easier than fighting with the weed eater
A spray called Weed-B-Bone; sold at Walmart
Round up, name brand weed and grass killer, specifically for what you are trying to do... rain proof in 10 mins, guaranteed to work in 24 hours..
for natural weed killer use salt or vinegar. ive tried bleach but it just makes it ugly color.
if you want to discourage anything from growing there.. you can use a chemical agent like triox, which is a chemical soil sterilizer. if you want to be more 'earth freindly', you can dissolve salt into the soil. eventually, the salt will leach out and you'll have to re-apply it.

Most plants cannot tolerate a salty soil. this will discourage most plant growth in these areas.
You can go to Home Depot or Lowes to get a weed killer that lasts for months with proper care. You attach it to the hose and spray the lawn and it kills them. You may also want to put a fertilizer down to help the weed killer be at it most effective state.

Hope this helps.

Vinegar kills weeds.
It's an inexpensive, environmentally safe herbicide for spot treatment on organic farms.
It controls weeds around yards, brick walls and patios & along roadsides and range, & in cracks in pavements.

Researchers found that 5- and 10-percent concentrations killed weeds during their first two weeks of life. Older, tougher weeds may need repeated applications or a stronger concentration than the 5% concentration of household vinegar. By distilling household vinegar, a 15% concentration can be obtained. Adding some liquid soap increases the coverage ability of vinegar.

"Yes, white vinegar, combined with the heat from the sun, will kill weeds and weed seeds, and is especially good for those hard-to-get-at weeds in driveways and walkway cracks. I've tried it, and the weeds died in a day or so. Pour white vinegar in a spray bottle and fire away, but don't aim at plants you want to save." *
As much as I hate to, that is the only time when I head out to Home Depot and buy some chemical to kill weeds between the cracks. The good thing is that a gallon will last a long time, since a brief spray is all you need. You don't have to soak them, and they don't come back..

I think I used Round Up last time
Spray some vinegar on and around the weeds that dries them up in no time.
