How long does it take for a lawn to recover after a dry spell?

Question:I have not mowed my lawn for over 3 weeks because it looks like straw with weeds sticking out. We had a really hot dry spell. Suddenly for the last coupld of days, it finally rained a couple of times and things are starting to grow. Now I am going to get out the push mower and mow down the weeds sticking up.
What kind of "weed and feed" should I use to make my lawn look nice now that is raining again and how long will it take to recover?

Answers:
don't water too often or it will not be able to tolerate drought. the weed-b-gone max spray works well. the recovery time depends on how bad it is and what type of grass.

well be sure to continue to water your lawn especially at night when it is nice and cool out. As for "weed and feed" check home depot or your local lawn and garden store to see what is available any one should do but remember to water your lawn and you should see results in about 1 week
