Raspberry Bushes how to?

Question:Is there a way to grow a raspberry bush from the fruit itself ..if so what are the stpes to doing so thanks :)

Answers:
I have many raspberry canes, and I guarantee you that part of mine came up from raspberries that I failed to pick. After they dried up and fell to the ground they came up the next season--so much so that they became invasive. It never hurts to try; but the quickest route is the nursery department. Good luck!

You might get lucky if you plant a bunch of raspberries, but they are almost always propogated from other canes. It's easy to do, just cut a straight stem off a healthy bush, put the cut end in a bucket of water for a few days, and plant it when roots form. Or just buy the rooted canes at the nursery, they're cheap.
Well, birds help spread bushes like these by eating the fruit and then getting rid of their waste while flying. The seeds in the fruit don't break down so they start a new plant. It couldn't hurt to try, eat some of the fruit then spit out the seeds and plant those. I would recommend the previous posts though on planting raspberries, because trying to plant the seeds may take forever.
