I eat organic foods as much as possible. I was wondering if it is OK to use Miracle Growth in my herb garden?

Well, my first thought was that if you used Miracle Gro, then your herbs wouldn't be organic.
But I decided to do a little search, and this is what I found..

Very interesting. Don't use regular Miracle Gro if you want organic. "Miracle Gro Organic Choice" looks like the way to go.
Good luck!
According to the label you can use it up to the day of harvest, but you must wash your veggies before eating. While I use MG in my own flower garden, I don't use it in my veg patch. There are other alternatives. Good soild being paramount. Composted cow or horse manure and fish emulsion work very well, last longer in the soil and are harmless to you. If you feed the roots, you'll have strong plants.
I was at an organic gardening seminar and the lecturer compared MG and Peter's Prof. to cocaine. The plants love it when they're on it, but when you take it away, you can almost see the Detox shivers. :)
no its not especially since " organic " is all natural ! ! !
Miracle growth I believe has chemicals that forcus the veggies to grow larger then they really are.
Miracle Grow is one of the worst things to use! First off, make sure each of your herbs like fertilizers...then use dehydrated manure and a slow release organic fertilizer.
NO! miracle grow is the devil. it is WAY too salty and plants get "addicted" to it, then look like crap if you forget to use it. compost will save the world. give them some nice, rich compost and harvest them regularly to keep them growing well. certain herbs, like dill and especially cilantro need to be reseeded a few times throughout the season.
Yes you can. but if you want to be really organic. Do a compost. Just take a Plastic container like the ones for storage. Put Soil and red worms. you can put pellings, eggs shells, shredded newspaper. put small holes punched through out the bottom of the container. Put lid on container. Set some bricks or wood in the shape and same size as the container. Then place a pan in the middle of the framed out brick or wood, place the container of compost on top. So licquid will drip from the container to the pan. And wala the liquid is fetalizer. oh and make sure you stir compost. but anyway yes, you can use Miracle grow. its the same thing. i do it about every two weeks in the herbs.
My husband and I just bought a fertilizer from WalMart that is made from worm pee!!! It has worked wonderfully and is 100% organic. They even use recycled coke/pepsi bottles so every bottle looks different. It's called Terracycle all purpose plant food.
