How can I keep roses alive for a long time?

Question:

Answers:
Add about a 1/2 can of 7UP- not sprite- to the water in the vase. A florist once told me the sugars in the 7up feed the roses and help them live longer. Also, an aspirin in the water is another trick I've heard works well too.

what I've always told people is put them in the coldest water with an aspirin and cut the stem in an angle works the best
