Can i plant my conifers in Spain in the hot climate or do i have to wait till autumn?

Question:im desperate to plant my trees now in the summer to block the view of my neighbours, can i do something to give them a good start? I plan to have an irrigation system and use a good amount of compost to plant them in.

Answers:
If you have container grown plants you will be able to plant them now. In general damp humid weather is better for establishing plants, but if roots are well protected from ¬cooking` in the Spanish sun you will be successful. Roots will need a good start, watering and compost as you suggest, will aid quick establishment.
