Help please!?

Question:I am planning to put chuckie stones in my garden but i need to kill the grass first. What is the best way to do this, and will it stop growing if it works? It also has to be safe for animals.

Answers:
Salt will kill it unless it is a beach grass, get rock salt and if there are to be plants bordering the stone don't put it too close to the border area leave about 1.5 feet from the edge this is only if you are not going to plant ANYTHING at all between the stone otherwise rent a steamer from a landscape supply company and burn the grass

All you have to do is dig it most of it out. Then lay tarporlin over the earth and pure the chuckie on top .
you could cover the grass with a tarp or something, hope you get some better idea, the tarp will kill it but if you like chemicals which is not good, they would work, probably kill all kinds of stuff.
either dig up the grass or if its a wide area and to save time you have to put the plastic down you can put on top of the grass the your chuckies on top, either way you need the plastic to stop the grass and the weeds coming up?the grass will eventually die anyway, you will do the animals no harm happy gardening.
Either dig the grass up or kill it off with weedkiller, most weed killers that can be bought by the general public are safe if used carefully, keep the animals inside until the weed killer has dried. Lay a horticultural membrane before laying stones/chuckies.
