How do I stop spider mites from eating my budding plants?

Question:I've heard and had moderate success with a mixutre of Neem oil, water, and dish soap. . . does anyone know of any way to completely kill them?

Answers:
Spider mites are a pain. Two things have always worked for me.
FIrst try spraying the plant leaves top and bottom side with a solution of 1 tablespoon of dishdetergent in on quart of warm water and rinsing the dirt through the the remaining water.
Second, and in tandem if you like. Repot the plant. It's probably time for a new pot anyway. Rinse the roots with cool water to remove all the old dirt that any more of the beasties might be living in and repot in a fresh pot with nice new dirt. Should work for you, I know it does for me.
Good luck

That is the best way to completely get rid of them. Soak your plant till it drips. For some reason ,I have always used JOY. I believe because of the added lemon juice.
Wow, I learned something. I did not realize dish soap would help.

I have always purchased Sevin Dust in the can size and used it around my plants to eliminate the spider mites. It it not harmful to the plants but it will get rid of a multitude of insects.
Spider mites can be difficult. Using insecticides (like Seven) can make the problem worse if you are not careful with what you use, because many insecticides will kill spider mites natural predators without being effective against the mites. Using a Miticide can be effective but miticides do not kill the mite eggs, so repeat applications in 10-14 day intervals are needed. For more information and suggestions for miticides go to:
