I have a Peachtree?
Question:I have a Peachtree in my yard ant the peaches have like a white gel spots on them anyone have any idea what this might be and/or how to cure it
Answers:
Stinkbugs are notorious for causing this problem to occur on peaches. They insert their needlelike mouthparts into fruit and feed on plant juices causing gum-like substance to exude from the fruit. Initially the feeding sites are small, translucent, blue-green spots. In some cases, these damaged areas will fail to grow, and fruit attacked early in the season develops irregular, depressed areas or dimples.
Stinkbugs like to live under leaves, trash, in the crowns of plants, clumps of grass and favor weeds such as Russian Thistle, Curly Dock, and legume crops.
To minimize their damage, you should try to control them before your peaches set fruit at bloom. You can spray a neem or pyrethrum based insecticides to prevent them from invading your peach tree. Spray those weeds I mentioned with a herbicide and clean up those areas that might harbor them during the off-season.
Hope this answers your question. GOOD LUCK getting rid of those Stinkbugs!

Sap & nectar for the birds and the beez oozez out when they are growing
They should be ripe enough now to pick so the little birdies will leave them alone. We always picked our peaches around the first week in July. Pick up and taste to see if it is good, or just pick and let is ripen by itself, like so many fruit growers do.
Lucky you to have a peach tree. I don't have them anymore since I moved.
