Orlando, FL beginner dealing with a crazy, overgrown and weeded property needs help!?

Question:What is the best, cheapest and possibly easiest way to re do the lawn and backyard? I think our lawn is overgrown with crabgrass, and if possible I would like to avoid buying a whole new lawn. Any suggestions?

What is a good privacy plant fence that isn't too expensive and is decent looking?

Also we have a pathetic looking landscape in the front yard, what are good decrative plants/ flowers that are both neat/tidy and neat/cool?

Annd.. the backyard is out of control. There are segragated areas all over the place for plants but those areas are overrun by weeds. Once everything is pulled out and cleaned; what would be the best things to plant back there that won't get out of control but won't die easily either?

Our backyard soil is very fertile and I live in Orlando, FL.
