Howhat is the time span for cantalopes to mature?

Question:from planting date until friut is mature and ready to harvest

Answers:
I would approximate the time to be roughly 70 to 100 days...But it also depends on the types and growing areas...Here in SC, I plant melons (from seed) around the first week in May...and they're ready for picking in early August.transplants would require even less time.

From my experience from raising watermelons and cantaloupes, it is a long growing season for these types of fruits. It generally takes as long as 5 months from the seed to ready to pick and eat. When I lived in Alabama we would plant the seeds in March and harvest in late July or early August. Pumpkins can take even longer.
