Two guys are here cutting my grass (the owner and a worker) they're charging me $60. Should I give a tip?
Question:if a tip, how much?
Answers:
no tip for this service.
No.
Yes i think so. Thats a very hard job. Especially in this hott weather. U should tip them whatever u like, but as long a u tip em.
NO the worker is paid a hourly salery not baised on tips as a waiter is
yes! tip them what you feel is right
how big is your lawn? I wouldn't tip, especially since the owner is there.
Can you live with yourself if you don't tip them? If you will feel uncomfortable not tipping them, then do it. $60 bucks is alot...maybe instead of more money you could offer them cold drinks? They would probably appreciate that! Make a big pitcher of lemonade with ice and give them each a glass and tell them to have as much as they like.
If you tip them this time they will expect it from now on. They agreed to the $60 so they know how much they are getting. Kepp your money If they are not happy they will ask you for an increase the next time.
Onl if they do a really excellent job.
dont tip. wait and see if they charge you $63 next time haha
NO
First look to see if they have left everything well done and cleaned up after themselves.
only tip if it is a really good job.
Why don't you do it yourself. You probably need the exercise.
TO ME I REALLY DON'T SEE WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE THEM A TIP SINCE THE HOUSE BELONG TO THE OWNER IF ANYTHING THE OWNER SHOULD GIVE THE OTHER GUY A TIP. THE BIG ? IS HOW BIG IS THE YARD IF IT'S A SMALL YARD AND $60. SOUND RIGHT TO ME. THE OTHER THING IS WHAT DO YOUR HEART TELLS YOU JUST LISTEN TO YOUR HEART IT WILL TELL YOU WHAT TO DO SO WITH ALL THAT YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY.
Is he charging a fair price for the size of yard? I still probably wouldn't tip. I was self-employed and never expected a tip. Good luck!
Please don't tip the lawn care guys! Tipping is totally out of control!
If your yard is 0.25 acres or smaller, then definately not. They should mow, blow and edge for $35-$40. If your yard is larger or has a lot of grass on steep slopes or difficult beds to navigate around then maybe. And only if the owner did not see your yard before he quoted $60.
Why is it that waiters and waitresses get tipped but no one else in the service industry gets tips. I work on a landscape crew installing and I work a lot harder than a waiter.
Waiters and waitresses make a much lower wage than you do as a landscaper or laborer because it is expected that they will receive tips.
