Help with Bell Pepper plants please?

Question:I planted bell pepper plants for the first time this year. They seem to be growing and flowering fine, but there appears to be a sticky substance on the leaves. (It looks like they have been sprayed with a fine mist of something sticky, but I have not sprayed them with anything.) Since I am new at this, I was wondering if this is normal or not. I have noticed a few bugs, but nothing major. Please help!

Answers:
Check the stems for bugs. Aphids leave a sticky substance on plants they infest. If there are aphids, try insecticidal soap or Sevin to get rid of them before they ruin your peppers & move onto other plants.

That is natural w/ the sticky substance. Its almost their self device. Just wash well when their ripe and enjoy!
that is very natural! that is the plants way of attracting possible bugs to the leaves instead of the peppers themselves.. wash your peppers really well when you pick them... and if the peppers get to heavy you might have to steak them so they dont drop to the ground and rot before you can pick them... good luck happy peppering!
