Hibiscus blooms.?

Question:How long does it usually take for the flower to bloom after the bud starts to open?? Some of the buds started to open about 3 days ago, but the flowers are still closed. It's a new plant, so these are the first new blooms, and I'm really anxious to see them.

Answers:
The flower buds of a Hibiscus are always slow to open. That's part of the thrill. That's one thing about gardening. It teaches one patience.

Give it three or four days. It is well worth the wait. Hibiscus really are very beautiful and they love this hot weather.
if u have it in a pot(with drainage holes), then water it "everyday". this helps with the blooming process and gets rid of excess salts in the soil which is bad for the plant! oh and keep it all day sun... it's a tropical plant.. the more sun the better!
