How do I kill the bamboo shoots that are coming up from my neighbors yard?

Question:I keep breaking them off but new ones come up and they grow like 1 foot a day!! What can I do to kill it?? Now it's even popping up like 4 feet away from the fence in my grass.

Answers:
I hate to recommend this, but I would find a nice systemic herbicide and use it. Roundup might work, as I think it takes care of monocots (bamboo) as well. I reaaaaaally dislike pesticides, but occasionally, you need to use them. If you do use it, PLEASE read the label and follow the instructions!

buy a panda bear...lol no im sorry i have no idea
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA! (evil laughter) I hope you get a better answer, but as a landscaper and greenhouse worker, I know that bamboo is almost impossible to get rid of once it is planted.
go to your local co-op dealer and get a chemical called
"Spike 20P" use it sparingly. Just follow the directions
on the label..
or get a chemical called "Remedy"
either one will kill bamboo..
my advise is, dig a hole near the fence & apply concrete cement.. by this way the bamboo shoot or root will not be able to crawl towards your neigbourhood..

it might be expensive solution but it works..
